ATTITUDE
Let me start by saying “YOUR ATTITUDE DETERMINES YOUR ALTITUDE”
Following the messages and comments I received on my birthday “July 30th then it dawned on me that attitude at which an individual has and displays determine what one can get from people.
Seeing several comments which came from people’s deepest heart, expressing how they view the person I am and who I am to them made me realize that whatsoever you are doing, either good or evil, people are watching you.
An adage in Yoruba land will say “EEFI NI IWA” meaning our character is like a smoke which cannot be hidden no matter how hard you try to hide it.
The kind of celebration at which you receive from people is as a product of your attitude, the celebration can either be good or bad.
The reward you get from people comes from your attitude and the way you are being viewed.
Your attitude determines the recommendations and the respect you get from people.
The great people we have in life today are great because of their attitude towards, training, corrections, ideas, innovations and discipline.
Our profession is what it is today because of the attitude of those in the profession.
Our profession will be better or not depending of the attitude of those who will become the leaders of the profession.
As a popular adage will say, “THERE IS NO PAIN WITHOUT GAIN”, but our attitude and response to the pain determines the kind of gain we receive.
Our attitude towards learning, correction, advice and innovations determines our height in life.
ATTITUDE IS WHAT MAKES A LION DIFFERENT FROM ALL ANIMALS IN THE FORRST.
ATTITUDE IS WHAT MAKES AN EAGLE DIFFERENT FROM ALL OTHER BIRDS.
YOUR ATTITUDE DETERMINES YOUR REWARD
YOUR ATTITUDE DETERMINES YOUR HEIGHTS
YOUR ATTITUDE IS WHO YOU ARE
YOUR ATTITUDE IS WHAT YOU ARE
YOUR ATTITUDE DETERMINES WHAT YOU WILL BECOME
So therefore, my word for everyone today is that wherever we find ourselves, we should always have a positive attitude towards everything, we should not be part of those who will be found where things are going wrong or going down, we should always be on the side which ensures that all things are always right and better.
To the Nurses out there, Nursing is what it is and where it is today because of our attitude which has influenced decisions and in turn affected our work, growth, position in the health sector and our height as a profession.
To everyone once again, LET’S HAVE A POSITIVE ATTITUDE.

In my three years of marriage and what I have seen of marriages around me, I have come to realize that every day is an opportunity to celebrate love, foster understanding, practice forgiveness, and make sacrifices. Contrary to the notion that all you need for a successful marriage is love, I have learned that it takes intentional effort and investment from both partners. Sacrifices and forgiveness are just as crucial as love in making a marriage last, peaceful, and happy. PRIORITIZING WHAT MATTERS by Olabanji Joel Orolugbagbe

Yesterday, I discharged a very demanding patient home. As she was about to leave the ward with her daughter, she called me over for a hug and expressed her gratitude. She told her daughter that I was a good nurse and was happy that I was part of her care team throughout her hospital stay. This gesture hit me differently, and it motivated me to do even more for my patients. As an adult with family responsibilities, I have come to realize that my profession is not just a job but a source of sustenance. I have learned to prioritize my role as a nurse above every thing I was actively doing before having a family, and the appreciation from patients like this one means a lot to me. Recently, I had a conversation with my cousin, and I shared with him that the only thing that can get under my skin is being told I am not good at my job because I see it as a threat to my source of livelihood and if genuinely done, I see it as a push to improve myself.
