Real Enemy in Nursing
REAL ENEMY IN NURSING I will like to start with a Yoruba adage which states that “kokoro to n jefo, ara efo lo wa” which simply means the real enemy is within. I have thought about so many things I have heard about Nursing and so many things I have seen myself before coming up with this write up. Many Nurses will say “the Doctors are the ones hindering the growth of the profession as they are always against the profession” but without a crack in the wall the lizard can’t have a place in the wall and in respect to this, if we are united in love and oneness, then other intruders won’t be able to get inside. In Nursing, due to envy and jealousy amongst ourselves, we lack love, unity, professional support, a voice (one voice) and the true act and spirit of unionism. All these things affects the growth of profession. So my fellow professional Nurses Who are the real enemies of our profession?? I still sat down to think on the reason behind all these things I mentioned above and I said Fem...
