Looking back and appreciating God

Appreciation to God It's my induction into Nursing profession Let me quickly start with the statement that "only God knows where he is taking us all to and where we will get to in life". I have many stories regarding how I ended up in Nursing. I never for once planned or thought of being in Nursing but "Nursing found me and Nursing Got me". Let me first of all appreciate my God who has made it possible for me to be alive today and for his strength and grace which has given me success in my academics and other spheres of my life. I could remember some years back when a secondary school teacher of mine asked me what I wanted to study and I said "Physiology" and she responded by saying "Banji shey Opolo e ma gbe"?? Not knowing that was not even God's plan for me, I later got admission to study Nursing and despite the hurdles, the activities, the stress, my personal engagements, music, sports, fellowship etc, I never failed in any area. Lesson: Never underestimate anyone Registered Nursing is not big but a stepping stone to greater heights. No more Nursing induction after this, instead graduation. I thank my parents Engr. and Mrs Orolugbagbe Julius Olayiwola for their unrelenting support since the day one of my life, I will forever worship them as they are gods. I appreciate my family members for their support to, Orolugbagbe's family, Adekanye's family and Mrs Orolugbagbe Olutola Animashaun, God bless you all. Thanks to Nurse Olaleye Sunday, Nrs Osundeyi Taiwo and Kehinde, Nurse Egbe Michael, my Sparkling light family, my Fellowship of Christian Nurses family, OAUTHCSON SUG, Campanista Family and all those who contributed to me having a memorable stay in school God bless you all. What made me fulfilled while in school is that I participated in all areas and all functioning organizations in school and I was fulfilled in all. It's not by my strength but I have God and he has always got my back. I will always love you God. I am Orolugbagbe Joel Olabanji I am a Registered Nurse I am a Nurse with Positive Differences I am always Proud to be a Nurse God bless me, God bless Nursing.

In my three years of marriage and what I have seen of marriages around me, I have come to realize that every day is an opportunity to celebrate love, foster understanding, practice forgiveness, and make sacrifices. Contrary to the notion that all you need for a successful marriage is love, I have learned that it takes intentional effort and investment from both partners. Sacrifices and forgiveness are just as crucial as love in making a marriage last, peaceful, and happy. Marriage is often romanticized, but the reality is that it requires hard work and dedication, which many marriage speakers tend not to speak about. PRIORITIZING WHAT MATTERS by Olabanji Joel Orolugbagbe

Yesterday, I discharged a very demanding patient home. As she was about to leave the ward with her daughter, she called me over for a hug and expressed her gratitude. She told her daughter that I was a good nurse and was happy that I was part of her care team throughout her hospital stay. This gesture hit me differently, and it motivated me to do even more for my patients. As an adult with family responsibilities, I have come to realize that my profession is not just a job but a source of sustenance. I have learned to prioritize my role as a nurse above every thing I was actively doing before having a family, and the appreciation from patients like this one means a lot to me. Recently, I had a conversation with my cousin, and I shared with him that the only thing that can get under my skin is being told I am not good at my job because I see it as a threat to my source of livelihood and if genuinely done, I see it as a push to improve myself.
