IN A FAILED SYSTEM, WE WON'T KEEP QUIET by Olabanji Joel. Inspired by the Nurse who was abducted by Boko Haram members on the 22nd of this month. To all Buharists, do you know why many campaigned against GEJ? GEJ was campaigned against by majority and unanimously voted out because of increased activities of Boko Haram terrorists and corruption. It's so painful that the same reason why another person was elected is even on the increase now. We now have herdsmen killers, Bandits, Boko Haram etc. With all these we are still experiencing retrogressing economy and a completely failed state. If you want us to praise Buhari please tell him to fulfill his campaign promises together with the reasons for his initial election or humbly step down. It's in a failed Government that force will be used to keep power and fear will be instilled in the citizens to maintain power. WHAT A FAILED GOVERNMENT!!! GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN didn't do well but what has MOHAMMADU BUHARI done since his initial election and his falsely won second term? This write up is to all the supporters of Buhari who have decided to be in support of impunity and a failed system forgetting what integrity, truth and success really mean. Lastly, I will like to reinforce my statement that this Government has failed us and thus we won't keep quiet irrespective of the measures put in place to silence us. #Note: Our today's action determines what our tomorrow will be, if you are not thinking about your tomorrow, think about that of your coming generation, will they continue this way too? In my three years of marriage and what I have seen of marriages around me, I have come to realize that every day is an opportunity to celebrate love, foster understanding, practice forgiveness, and make sacrifices. Contrary to the notion that all you need for a successful marriage is love, I have learned that it takes intentional effort and investment from both partners. Sacrifices and forgiveness are just as crucial as love in making a marriage last, peaceful, and happy. Yesterday, I discharged a very demanding patient home. As she was about to leave the ward with her daughter, she called me over for a hug and expressed her gratitude. She told her daughter that I was a good nurse and was happy that I was part of her care team throughout her hospital stay. This gesture hit me differently, and it motivated me to do even more for my patients. As an adult with family responsibilities, I have come to realize that my profession is not just a job but a source of sustenance. I have learned to prioritize my role as a nurse above every thing I was actively doing before having a family, and the appreciation from patients like this one means a lot to me. Recently, I had a conversation with my cousin, and I shared with him that the only thing that can get under my skin is being told I am not good at my job because I see it as a threat to my source of livelihood and if genuinely done, I see it as a push to improve myself.
