PERSONS OF INFLUENCE by Olabanji Joel....... From an experience I had recently, the need to push the Godly people to be successful has been so heavy on my heart. To start with, If the Godly people refuse to be of influence to the world, the worldly people will be of influence to the Godly ones. - Banji Joel. Many people complain and talk about the happenings around but what have they done about it? Is it just to sit, go to the church, go to the mosque and say we are not concerned, though praying for the better person to get there? No!!! Work and pray, if you can't come out then be a support to the Godly person out there, it's so important for the individual to attain success. A billionaire doesn't need too much words to make people go through a part because he is already a person of influence to many and the kinds of influence depends on his kind of heart and belief. If the right people refuse to take charge the charge will be taken by the wrong persons- Banji Joel. Also, if the Godly people do not become persons of influence the worldly people will be the influential ones- Banji Joel. It's far beyond just being successful, it's about influence on the community and the environment at large, just imagine a successful fraudster, he will influence many to be engaged in the illegal act because that's the way he knows. The politicians at various levels are persons of influence, the decision they make determines what will become of where they are ruling, if the decision is a negative one, it affects all and even the the righteous ones will suffer from it too. Being Godly without fulfilling purpose is not what God wants for us, we must touch lives and be responsible. Finally, NO MAN IS RESPONSIBLE WITHOUT RESPONSIBILITY. Therefore, stand up, take charge, be a person of influence, influence those around, support the Godly ones and let's make this nation work again. Thanks. Olabanji Joel...... In my three years of marriage and what I have seen of marriages around me, I have come to realize that every day is an opportunity to celebrate love, foster understanding, practice forgiveness, and make sacrifices. Contrary to the notion that all you need for a successful marriage is love, I have learned that it takes intentional effort and investment from both partners. Sacrifices and forgiveness are just as crucial as love in making a marriage last, peaceful, and happy. Yesterday, I discharged a very demanding patient home. As she was about to leave the ward with her daughter, she called me over for a hug and expressed her gratitude. She told her daughter that I was a good nurse and was happy that I was part of her care team throughout her hospital stay. This gesture hit me differently, and it motivated me to do even more for my patients. As an adult with family responsibilities, I have come to realize that my profession is not just a job but a source of sustenance. I have learned to prioritize my role as a nurse above every thing I was actively doing before having a family, and the appreciation from patients like this one means a lot to me. Recently, I had a conversation with my cousin, and I shared with him that the only thing that can get under my skin is being told I am not good at my job because I see it as a threat to my source of livelihood and if genuinely done, I see it as a push to improve myself.
