So many things comes alongside leadership, accepting responsibilities and delivering well is what a leader must do. Banji Joel It's more than just making noise, action is needed, for there to be a change then there must be actions and sacrifices. I have noticed many people want to be known, many want to be influential, many want to rise but few are ready to take up rarest responsibilities and face challenges. In fact, many want to challenge some wrongs but they want to do it while hiding or without directly announcing their stand so they won't be pointed to when things go wrong. Lol To be responsible, we all must stand up to our responsibilities, there's no leader without responsibility and no one worth being called a leader without being responsible. It's not about the title, position or noise making, it's about wisdom, determination, decisiveness, discipline, optimism, ability to differentiate the right from wrong, risk taking, sacrifice etc. Olabanji Joel In respect to the present issues in Nursing, the Nursing ground administrators most youths ( I am not one of them) has called for a peaceful protest which I will regard as one of it's kind so as to make our opinions known before it's too late. The young ones are the future of this profession and we need to take up the responsibility to preserve and better our heritage. In lieu of the above statement, the peaceful protest will be taking place in 3 states namely Lagos, Abuja and Kaduna. A Nurse with the mindset of a better Nursing in Nigeria should endeavor to participate in the protest, most especially those in the states mentioned above. My requests and stand will be; -A top up program of not more than 2years for Schools of Nursing graduates. -Post basic schools should be made post graduate schools or other closed down and all post basic programs should be done at the higher level, we don't want the compilation of diploma upon diploma without growth to the profession. -Better welfarism for Nurses in all sectors. -Improved structure and policies in Nursing. -Adequate use of the Registered public health Nurses in the rural areas with good renumeration. -Better placement in the health sector -No to Licensed Community Nursing. We have so many things to be worked on, creating another problem isn't the way. In my three years of marriage and what I have seen of marriages around me, I have come to realize that every day is an opportunity to celebrate love, foster understanding, practice forgiveness, and make sacrifices. Contrary to the notion that all you need for a successful marriage is love, I have learned that it takes intentional effort and investment from both partners. Sacrifices and forgiveness are just as crucial as love in making a marriage last, peaceful, and happy. Marriage is often romanticized, but the reality is that it requires hard work and dedication, which many marriage speakers tend not to speak about. PRIORITIZING WHAT MATTERS by Olabanji Joel Orolugbagbe

Yesterday, I discharged a very demanding patient home. As she was about to leave the ward with her daughter, she called me over for a hug and expressed her gratitude. She told her daughter that I was a good nurse and was happy that I was part of her care team throughout her hospital stay. This gesture hit me differently, and it motivated me to do even more for my patients. As an adult with family responsibilities, I have come to realize that my profession is not just a job but a source of sustenance. I have learned to prioritize my role as a nurse above every thing I was actively doing before having a family, and the appreciation from patients like this one means a lot to me. Recently, I had a conversation with my cousin, and I shared with him that the only thing that can get under my skin is being told I am not good at my job because I see it as a threat to my source of livelihood and if genuinely done, I see it as a push to improve myself.
