FEELING FOR OSUN STATE by Olabanji Joel

It's not a new thing that Osun is widely known as a poor state but there are many indigenes of the state doing well both within and outside the state. It seems our politicians, I mean the local government chairmen, house of assembly members, house of representive members, senators and the governors (both past and present) are unwilling to stretch out their hands to the poor at this crucial time but it's certain they will come around when it's time for election but what good will it do then? Thanks to Deji Adeleke and Pastor E.A Adeboye and those stretching out their hands to help the poor, more of God's blessing. Amen I feel for all those in the state because even the government workers of the state are poor, the skilled and unskilled workers are poor, no one is allowed to work now so how will people get food and survive this time? How will a primary school teacher (degree holder) who receive within 8,000-10,000 naira survive, please how has the person been surviving? I feel for the people of my state, the state that had a balanced financial structure before the terrain of Rauf Aregbeshola. The emergence of Aregbeshola was believed to be a breakthrough but ended as a mightier destabilization. I wish the state can be financially stable again. I feel for my state I feel for those in Osun State How will they survive this period What's their hope in this lockdown? The indigenes of the state who are financially capable both within and outside the state are the final hope for the common men, please come to the aid of the poor. It's not handwash and sanitizer that the people need now, it's food and that's what can make the lockdown worth it. I give kudos to Governor Oyetola for his plans to restructure the state and stabilize it, he has been trying his best but Aregbeshola's mess can't be easily eradicated. So bad!! At this time, the poor need food and that's the present intervention needed. I hope capable people can help. Thanks. Olabanji Joel, A Nurse, A Socialist and A Writer.
