OUR FUTURE WITH NIGERIA - Olabanji Jeol
If Nigeria continues with the way it is going now then I fear our children will come cursing us for allowing some few people destroy their lives. They will ask questions but will surely end it with curse(s) if care is not taken. Let's stand for a better Nigeria while we do away with selfishness and greed which has over the years benefitted just few and has made majority to be servants to the poverty manufacturers.
Many will keep on tolerating failure because they fear success, it is easier to say I want liberation but the steps taken determines if the person truly want to be liberated. Success, freedom, liberation and every good things don't come easy, it comes with challenges and several failures but determination, optimism, hardwork, smartwork, behaviour and ability to learn from the failures are what helps with the projection to the intended position.
Nigeria has only been working for few (less than 20% of the whole population) and this will continue unless there's an awakening from the masses and youths. It pains me when I see youths wasting away, the leaders who have no plan for the coming generation doesn't even care in as much as their pocket get filled up for the use of their family members and their children. The leaders capitalise on the weakness of the masses to enrich themselves.
IMAGINE WHAT NIGERIA WILL BE IN 10YEARS WITH THE KINDS OF YOUTHS THE COUNTRY IS BREEDING NOW. I FEAR IF THOSE LIVING WELL NOW WILL BE ABLE TO SLEEP WITH THEIR EYES CLOSED.
It's not about an individual, religion or tribe, it's about the future of the country. Therefore, let's have a change of heart and be determined to do the needful when time comes, enough of reelecting thieves and old ones who have been ruling close to 50years without a positive change, let's channel our strength to get this nation delivered. The old leaders turned politics to occupation, money making avenue and most importantly dream slayer.
I am proudly a Nigerian but sad to be in a country like this where the future has never been in the plans of the leaders, the only future the think about is the next election and not a better life for the coming generation.
