DO WELL TO MAXIMIZE THE OPPORTUNITY IN WHAT LIFE THROWS AT YOU. By Olabanji Joel

I am of a believe that all what we are today are product of nurture and nature. Sometimes, life throws at us something far beyond what we can take but to everything that comes our way, opportunity comes with it.

Remembering the past and so grateful to God for life, the important thing about today is that it's better than yesterday, not the way we used to be and not yet where we are meant to be. Bringing the best out of what was thrown at me is what has made today so special. Bringing out the best doesn't make me the best, but it makes me who I am meant to be, who I am meant to be becomes a reality when testimonies of what I am comes parallel to what I am meant to be.

Nature's gift in me was dormant until it was activated by occurrence and responsibilities bestowed upon me. By positions taken, the nature's gift have always been there but silent because it has not yet been made active by nurture. Life throws at me reason to feel inferior, the greatness attached to the place believed to be inferior brought the superiority embedded in me out, the inferior becomes the celebrated and valued.

While doing what has been orchestrated by the creator, challenges came but the creator has positioned men to surround me for the challenges to come, they said "expect more challenges with the path you have chosen but you must stay strong", "You can do better", "I know you can multitask",  “don't be distracted”, ”don't be down", ”it is expected", "the day you keep quiet is the day you will stop being heard" and "don't disappoint God for he has placed so many lives in your hands". Some things so dare were lost while doing what has been placed in my hands but I responded by saying " I can't forsake millions of lives and leave who I am meant to be just for just an individual", it makes me stronger with a greater determination never to be stopped.

Surely, a day is coming for the story of how a young boy found himself in Nursing and how he turned into being a Writer with ink that speaks against injustice and for the poor, the writer metamorphosis into a Socialist. Amen. want a better life for all "THE VOICE" but in all I will say it all started from RESPONSIBILITY.

Nothing good comes easily and  the best part of you isn't utilised at your comfort zone.
 Life naturally doesn't bring comfort, one who covet comfort goes for it with a determination to give it all it takes and someone who believes comfort will come at due time without standing up to be located remains in a position with or without minute growth.
Therefore, pick a point, hit it so hard till the goal is scored.

Life throws things at you when you have good things to drop, just complain about the pains that comes with being hit, focus on the production of the good in you until it's enough to go round to give back to lives.

In my three years of marriage and what I have seen of marriages around me, I have come to realize that every day is an opportunity to celebrate love, foster understanding, practice forgiveness, and make sacrifices. Yesterday, I discharged a very demanding patient home. As she was about to leave the ward with her daughter, she called me over for a hug and expressed her gratitude. She told her daughter that I was a good nurse and was happy that I was part of her care team throughout her hospital stay. This gesture hit me differently, and it motivated me to do even more for my patients. As an adult with family responsibilities, I have come to realize that my profession is not just a job but a source of sustenance. I have learned to prioritize my role as a nurse above every thing I was actively doing before having a family, and the appreciation from patients like this one means a lot to me.
