Leadership position is something almost everyone of us desire, we want it because of various reasons but many want it because of the title, benefits and opportunities attached to it. However, the intention of an aspirant before acquisition of a leadership position determines what he does when in the place of authority. To the new National NANNM executives who has been elected by the delegates, this piece is a call unto you all because the Nigerian Nurses are frustrated and yearning for a better Nursing. NANNM is an association meant to protect the interest of the nurses and not an association to make few persons in the profession richer whereas allowing our profession to be downtrodden. To the new executives, problem solving should be the focus and not witch hunting of those pointing out the present looming problems in the profession. It's Valentine's day, a day to celebrate love and not sex or any other thing as it means to many. It is a day to celebrate all loved ones. Talking about love, love is a good thing and you will appreciate it more when you have the right persons attached to you, when you have a good family, home, friends, partner etc. Having someone who have your back always, having someone who shares your burden with you, having someone you can intellectually interact with, having someone whom intimacy cannot be traded with another, having someone that has shown sacrificial love for you over time i.e parent(s), having someone that has built a foundation at which you can easily build your journey of life on (Parents/Guardians) and having friends who have shown immeasurable love towards you when it wasn't comfortable for them, friends who give their all to protect your interest and ensure you succeed in that which you call your passion.  IF MEN WERE GOD “ye are gods", a reference from the scripture which shows that man is indeed privileged to have the very nature of God coupled with men having the very image of his person. Men are the smaller version of God, that is why we have been blessed with so much gifts, talents, intellects, wisdom, strength and power. With all that God has given unto us to be gods, we have the developments in the world we are in today but what would have happened if men could actually do more? God has power over everything, he is in charge and I will like to link this to men being in a place of power, being in charge and controlling things.
