 IF MEN WERE GOD

“ye are gods", a reference from the scripture which shows that man is indeed privileged to have the very nature of God coupled with men having the very image of his person. Men are the smaller version of God, that is why we have been blessed with so much gifts, talents, intellects, wisdom, strength and power. With all that God has given unto us to be gods, we have the developments in the world we are in today but what would have happened if men could actually do more?

God has power over everything, he is in charge and I will like to link this to men being in a place of power, being in charge and controlling things. I mean making things happen following their orders. Thanks to God men can't do more than we can do today because this world would have been a hell on earth due to abuse of power.



For instance, in offices where men with power controls the affairs of other men, they tend to come against persons who stand as threat to their position, witch-hunt those who rise to ask them sensitive questions, imprison those who seek for better governance, victimise those who seek for justice, fail students who stand to fight for the right of other students, demote workers who stand to uphold good legacy in the organization and even kill those who stand in their way to becoming more powerful or threat to the position they occupy. 

Therefore, if men were God what would have happened to the world when the person with the power to control the rain gets angry? What would have happened when the person with the power to make seed germinate decide to rest? What would have happened if the person responsible for day break and night fall get intoxicated with power? What would have happened if the person with the power to make and take life gets angry? What would have happened to the creation if the person with the power to control creation decides to go on a leave? What will be our situation when the person who controls the rising and setting of the sun suddenly develops mood swing? Ooooh, what would have been life if men are the ones controlling sickness and recovery?

Finally, WHAT WILL THE WORLD LOOK LIKE IF MEN DON'T DIE, I MEAN IF MEN DO LIVE ON THIS EARTH FOREVER, WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE FACE OF THE EARTH BY NOW? Men are not God but with the dominion we have as gods, we can see what the world is today, we all are witnessing the daily decadence of the world, we all can see how those temporarily occupying a seat act like they will be there forever and the tearing apart of the world due to power tussle. WHAT A WORLD.

I have peace within always because I know the powerful people of the world don't have power over death, the rich of the world can't buy death and the death itself respect no man. I have peace knowing that whatever we do today will be an history tomorrow, power doesn't stay with a man or family, it changes hand, God distribute it well and that is why we can still do what we are doing today, even the person seen as the worse person get to be loved by someone and later helped by someone, it is a world which seems to be presumed by the creator before creation. 

I HAVE PEACE KNOWING MEN ARE NOT GOD BECAUSE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN WORLD WORST THAN HELL AS EVEN THE DEVIL HIMSELF IS A GOOD MAN WHEN COMPARED TO MANY MEN TODAY!

In my three years of marriage and what I have seen of marriages around me, I have come to realize that every day is an opportunity to celebrate love, foster understanding, practice forgiveness, and make sacrifices. PRIORITIZING WHAT MATTERS by Olabanji Joel Orolugbagbe

Yesterday, I discharged a very demanding patient home. As she was about to leave the ward with her daughter, she called me over for a hug and expressed her gratitude. She told her daughter that I was a good nurse and was happy that I was part of her care team throughout her hospital stay. This gesture hit me differently, and it motivated me to do even more for my patients. As an adult with family responsibilities, I have come to realize that my profession is not just a job but a source of sustenance. I have learned to prioritize my role as a nurse above every thing I was actively doing before having a family, and the appreciation from patients like this one means a lot to me. Recently, I had a conversation with my cousin, and I shared with him that the only thing that can get under my skin is being told I am not good at my job because I see it as a threat to my source of livelihood and if genuinely done, I see it as a push to improve myself.
