QUACKERY: Report on the activities of Doctor Okurumeh Oghenevo the Chief Medical Director of Saint Gregory's Hospital Basiri, Iyin Road, Ado Ekiti; THE MEDICAL DOCTOR WHO SPECIALIZES IN BREEDING QUACKS AND DEHUMANIZING PROFESSIONAL NURSES.

I got a report about a popular hospital in Ado Ekiti with the name Saint Gregory's Hospital, the hospital is also known as Okurumeh which is owned by Doctor Okurumeh Oghenevo as an inheritance from his father who happened to be a medical doctor also. Doctor Okurumeh is a medical doctor promoting the image of his profession jealously but bringing down the nursing profession with his practices which has been going on since the creation of his hospital by his father over 30years ago. He has been running the hospital with quacks as this was what he inherited from his father who also happens to be a medical doctor. He has therefore been used to this act due to what he inherited and the meagre amount he gives to the quacks as salary, the matron in the hospital is also a quack who was trained by him and most of his workers are quacks with just three professional nurses which he employed by telling them lies that he will employ more professional nurses and limit the work of the quacks to that of health assistant but this has been seen to be his regular lies which he uses in employing nurses in need of a job as he started employing professional nurses just about 2-3years ago.

One of the nurses who had worked in the hospital spoke to me saying "When she was employed, she was told the CMD planned on disengaging the trainees working there- like he wanted to recruit more registered nurses (as the standard). On the resumption of the nurse to the hospital, there were 4 registered nurses working there, two months gone, three months gone- there was no change, he still retained the trainees(quacks), the only change discovered was the CMD's attitudes towards the registered nurses as he enjoyed insulting the professional nurses even in the presence of the quacks, other physicians and patients. He never listens to their opinions and he calls them all sort of bad names like (dullards, morons etc)".

On many occasions, the nurses have been assaulted but the CMD usually keeps mute or even blame the nurse involved. Whenever  the registered nurses were being assaulted by  patient's relative in the hospital, the CMD would take no action against such illegal act, instead, he queried and insulted the registered nurses( without giving any chance for the nurses to give proper explanation of the situation)- he only based his judgement/action on what the quacks(who might not be there during the incident) tells him.

So many times, he had told the nurses never to see themselves as being superior to the quacks, that he would be the one to tell who the senior is amongst all his workers. He said since he recruited the nurses he has been losing customers, that the nurses cause disharmony amongst his staff claiming they gossip about patients, do not know how to secure good intravenous access otherwise enjoyed puncturing patients countless times. This is the man who placed the quacks above nurses and put the affairs in the hands of the quacks including drafting of roasters and giving directives on what to do. The abuse  of the nurses is not limited just to the CMD of the hospital but also to his relatives who derives joy in ridiculing the nursing profession all because they have someone training nurses. 

On this note, the existence of the hospital must end as the medical doctor involved in endangering the lives of those patronizing his facility must stop. 

The nurses have been disgraced and dealt with terribly just as many persons face kinds of treatment or worse in several facilities breeding quacks.
