FEMI FANI KAYODE'S DISPLAY OF WHO HE IS - An eye opener by Olabanji Joel.

Journalism that I know is a respecter of no man and all those in power should know this. The self paraded voice of the poor has revealed his true person and I hope even his followers would get to know the kind of person they have been following.  Femi Fani Kayode is known for his constant brag of being in politics since 1990 but he is now known for boasting with achievements because there is virtually no achievement to boast of, rather self made money through corruption is what he can point at as achievement. "They come to us portraying themselves as innocents, seeking to be elected, claiming they want to make lives better, making so many promises but what do we get after getting them elected? We see pride being displayed, public funds being spent for personal development, gallivanting to be successful and seeking for respect from those who elected them. Their true person get revealed to the world when they get hold of power, they act like demi gods and forget all their initial pr...

BE EMPATHETIC AND SPIT NOTHING OUT WITH A POLITICAL BIGOTED MINDSET ABOUT THE PROTEST HELD BY UNIMEDTHC NURSES. By Olabanji Joel

No one is using UNIMEDTHC Nurses against APC or AKEREDOLU, what do you expect those working for months without getting paid to do? They have negotiated many times, they stayed at the negotiating table when their counterpart went on strike severally despite facing more hardship, the nurses understand what being the heart of health care means but should they die while trying to save others? Don't you want them to grow too? Don't they have responsibilities to cater for?  UNIMEDTHC Nurses are facing a lot, for those who knows me personally, just imagine me working for 4months without getting the small money which I should get, the money isn't what these people should be getting, they are being underpaid, nurses in Nigeria are being underpaid, that is why the best are leaving but should those of us here continue this way or regret not leaving?!!! It is clearly evident to all that Governor Akeredolu has failed the people of Ondo state, the health care system that was well develop...

UNIVERSITY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES TEACHING HOSPITALS, AKURE, ONDO STATE (UNIMEDTHC) NURSES PROTEST AGAINST 4-6 MONTHS UNPAID SALARIES. Olabanji Joel

The. Inhumane treatment of nurses in UNIMEDTHC has been reported severally by the media but nothing has been done about it. Last year, some nurses were employed in batches, that is different months at the facility as the existing shortage of members of staff brought about the urgent employment of nurses. Following the employment, the newly employed nurses saw themselves working for 6months, 5months, 4months and 3months depending on the batch of employment they belonged to without being paid.  Note: These Nurses were there during the outbreak of Lassa fever and the novel coronavirus disease (COVID19) in the state and they risked their lives despite not being paid.  One of the affected nurses complained bitterly about having to trek to work from her house which is miles away from the hospital. Another one talked about how she tested positive for COVID19 and couldn't even afford to eat healthy meals while battling the virus and many others talked about how they were sent packing ...

QUACKERY IN NURSING- A big issue that should be faced squarely by Olabanji Joel.

Exactly two weeks ago, I was given an assistant at my place of work following my persistent request due to high workload. I thought the assistant would be a Nurse but a quack was brought to me as a Nurse, he studied Estate Management in school but now working as a quack without any knowledge of what caring is.  On the arrival of the assistant, the nurse who brought him to me happens to be a senior  Nurse at one of the Lagos state general hospitals. She told me to teach my assistant many things as he will assist me well and he should also learn from me, I immediately told her I am one of those in nursing who works against quakery and I will not show him or teach him anything. Meanwhile, the Senior nurse called the quack nurse (name withhold) and told him to learn from me well. After telling her my stand against quackery she said that's how people from the upper region (Osun, Ondo, Ekiti etc) act. I frankly told her I can't trust my patient in the hand of a quack The quack start...
