ARE YOU STILL A MOTHER OR YOU HAVE LOST YOUR VIRTUES? By Olabanji Joel

Yearly, we celebrate women in several ways starting with the international women's day to mothering Sunday to several mothers' day and I see almost all those who has given birth celebrate themselves and sometimes get celebrated. But, are these celebrations only meant for those who has given birth? Or do some people possess what it takes to be celebrated?  Motherly care is an important virtue needed for the growth of everyone. Through these cares, we acquire our fundamental life values on which we build other values we acquire while growing. Motherly care is beyond pampering, it entails proper discipline, training, guidance, tutelage, sacrifice and all virtues needed to be exhibited for a child to be moulded into the best form and for a home to stand but do we still have these virtues in you as a woman? We are living in a decaying community where moral seems to be on a long term vacation, the wrong has become the norm, the right has been perceived to be foolishness and indecency...

RE: NMCN EXAMINATION BOOKLETS IN CIRCULATION. Olabanji Joel rants.

In response to the rants and call by Olabanji Joel following the 2018 Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria examination booklets found with an individual selling suya, it has been brought to my notice that the registrar has been informed and an investigation is ongoing to unravel the myth surrounding how the booklets left the custody of the council.  Just to ease the tension which has been caused by this demeaning act from someone within the council, it will be right to make it known that the council registrar is working to get the perpetrator(s). The state of nursing in Nigeria is bad and it looks more bad than it is due to lack of communication between the leaders and the followers, many times we tend not to be carried along in decision making and issues arising whereas when progress is being made, the followers are unaware and feels no progress at all. NMCN EXAMINATION BOOKLETS IN CIRCULATION: Olabanji Joel rants

I have come again with a heavy burden in my heart to call for the investigation of these booklets found with an Hausa man selling "suya".  The multiple choice question papers are usually being retrieved from the students so how did it get to the suya man even when the students who wrote the exam do not possess it? Question booklets which the students don't get hold of were seen flying around and the answer booklets were seen used by the mallam. The answered booklets should have been properly disposed, why would such be seen outside?! WHO HAS DONE THIS?! This is ridiculous and demeaning, investigation as to why the papers with nursing and midwifery name boldly written on were not adequately disposed should be done. WHO SOLD OUT THE PAPERS?! Well, I believe no nurse working with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria would subject his or her profession to such disdain but surely someone within the council has done this and such a person must be punished.  It is not a ...
