On 23rd October 2021, the Honourable commissioner for youths and sports in Ogun State got married to his beautiful bride who is a Nurse. Nurse Oluwaseyi is a beautiful Nurse born and brought up in Nigeria. Her mother happens to be a Nurse and she decided to follow her path. What more can a successful parent ask for to make her completely successful?  Oluwaseyi and Oluwadare I am writing about this union not because the groom is a politician but because of the bride, my  professional colleague. October 1st 1960 the country called Nigeria got her independence and in the same October but a different year "2020", the youths of the country unanimously without a known leader rose against oppression, suffering, intimidation, bad governance, corruption and many more. On 20th October 2020, the youths of the country gained their independence. They came together putting aside all ethnic and religious differences to speak up against police brutality and other inadequacies of the government. There is so much good which is meant to be celebrated "today" but the government of today has buried all the good and replaced them with hardship, poverty, killings, tyranny etc. Independence day truly but the country is still held in captive by those ruling her, the citizens are enslaved by the leaders and the poor are serving the rich in hunger, many poor persons are even taking advantage of themselves despite having one common enemy which is poverty induced by bad governance. Independence day but still living in bondage created by our kinsmen, it looks as if the country is married to underdevelopment and massive  debt, two combined problems without a sensible link. Should a country be underdeveloped despite having huge debts? Where are the monies being borrowed?
