PRESIDENT IN SHOCK; Nigeria in consternation, Nigeria must work again by Olabanji Joel This write up is directed to the masses, we are the custodian of our future, the hunger we are experiencing today should anger our spirit and body to choosing a better leader who can give us the kind of country we want .  The negative occurrences in Nigeria isn't a news to anyone anymore, the only thing that can amaze a Nigerian that has been following the daily happenings is a positive development across the nation but it bothers me seeing the shock expressions of our number one citizen, president dismayed over the happenings sounds like he has not been in the system, probably he has been getting updates about other countries and not his. Our president's expression of shock is a pointer to why the country's growth has been retrogressive. A president in shock is the same as an appalled country. The incapability which has been displayed by our president over the years has aroused the quest...

AFRICAN FEMINISM by Olabanji Joel

Starting with the life of an industrious woman that was popularly called Iya Ijebu in her lifetime even with her strong background as an Ijesa woman, she did businesses too in the North and she understands Hausa language well like the back of her palms. Can I forget she worked in the East too? Yeah, she did business at Enugu and regardless of her low level of education was able to understand some basic english sentences which she used to communicate with her customers, she left Enugu after her shop was burgled and she continued her business afterwards till the very year she died. She lived a successful life, even though being industrious, she had the understanding that she can't be termed successful without a home, so she built and maintained her home, she supported her husband in everything and they both had a home, she didn't neglect her role as a woman at home and this helped her even after her husband died. Iya Ijebu as she was fondly called was known as a very strong woman...

QUICK QUESTIONS TO BE ANSWERED INDIVIDUALLY by Olabanji Joel. DO YOU WANT YOUR CHILDREN TO BE LIKE YOU, IF YOUR ANSWER IS NO THEN YOU NEED TO WORK ON YOURSELF TO BE THE KIND OF PERSON YOU WANT THEM TO BE. AS A LEADER, DO YOU WANT YOUR CHILDREN TO BE THE KIND OF NURSE THAT YOU ARE?? AS A LEADER, DO YOU WANT YOUR CHILDREN IN THE NURSING YOU ARE LEADING? CAN YOUR CHILDREN BE PROUD OF YOU IN THE FUTURE AS A NURSE WHO HAS IMPACTED NURSING POSITIVELY? AS A LEADER IN NURSING, HOW MANY OF YOUR CHILDREN ARE NURSES OR STUDENT NURSES? WHAT WILL BE SAID OF YOU AFTER YOUR RETIREMENT FROM ACTIVE SERVICE? WILL YOU BE WELL SPOKEN OF OR CURSED? CAN YOUR GENERATION BE PROUD OF YOU AS SOMEONE WHO HAS IMPACTED NURSING POSITIVELY? AS A LEADER, ARE YOU A MENTOR? AS A LEADER, DO YOU HAVE PEOPLE LOOKING UP TO BE THE KIND OF PERSON YOU ARE? WHAT WILL YOU BE REMEMBERED FOR? WILL YOU BE REFERRED TO AS A TRUE FIGHTER OR DESTINY DESTROYER? CHANGE YOUR WAYS SO THAT YOUR CHILDREN CAN INHERIT A BETTER NURS...

EFFECT OF INTEGRITY ON ADHERENCE TO COVID-19 DIRECTIVES by Olabanji Joel

I don't blame those who believe Covid-19 doesn't exist in Nigeria. Assuming i am not an health worker, it would have been difficult for me to have believed too. The government has failed to show us videos and pictures of thousands of confirmed patients as it is being done in developed countries. Is Nigeria Covid-19 different? Many are claiming that the government is using this Covid-19 crisis to embezzle money, is the claim true or false? Various donations were made to the government to combat Covid-19.Even at that, the poor people in the country could not get a proper quantity and supply of food during the lockdown. There was lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and FCT but the government shared palliatives at Zamfara, Nassarawa and some Northern part of the country, Does that make any sense? Despite the donations from various individuals, organisations, international bodies and countries, the country still borrowed $3.4bn from IMF despite the fall in the fuel market and increasing debt o...
